The results are in for the 2023 Australian International Beer Awards (AIBAs), with Mismatch Session Ale being awarded a gold medal in the Australian Style Pale Ale category. Slipstream Brewing’s Magic Mile XPA also achieved a gold medal in the International Style category.
Organised annually by the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria, the Australian International Beer Awards is one of the most highly regarded beer competitions in the Asia-Pacific region. A huge number of breweries submit beers in can, bottle and keg format, and each undergoes a comprehensive judging process from a panel of expert judges. The judging is tough, and being awarded any medal – whether that be gold, silver or bronze – is an excellent achievement.
